The horror/comedy short film is directed by Noah “Shark” Robertson, drummer for bands like Motograter, The Browning and founder of Zombie Shark Records and Swimming with Sharks Records. The film is slated to hit horror movie festivals in October of 2018. A DVD pre-order has been set up at, where purchasers will get their name in the credits, as well as receive a signed copy of the film. (Offer ends May 7th, 2018)

Robertson states, “I’ve always wanted to be involved in the entertainment industry in some way, outside of music. Making this short film was my intro into this realm. I’m obsessed with sharks and I’ve always loved the horror genre, especially Jaws and all the amazingly bad shark movies that followed. It’s been my dream to be a part of the Sharksploitation lore for quite some time now. What an honor!”

In addition to getting his feet wet in the film industry, the musician has also stepped into the stand-up comedy arena; recently completing the “I Have No Idea What I’m Doing” Comedy Tour.

Robertson adds, “I’ve been doing music for over 20 years now. I’ve signed record deals, toured all over the world, and have been on the Billboard Charts. The music industry really chewed me up and spit me out though. It’s refreshing to step outside of my comfort zone and try my hand at something else for a change. I love inspiring people and showing that you really can do anything you put your mind to. I’m not quitting music or anything, just sort of hitting the reset button while I search for the right project. I’m currently writing a novel/screenplay for a feature film about sharks, and I’m hoping someday I can see it become a reality. Who knows. I’m massively inspired by independent filmmakers such as Lloyd Kaufman from Troma Entertainment. I’d love to get his attention somehow! A huge part of me making this film came from me reading his book, “Make Your Own Damn Movie”. I guess we’ll see.”

Shower Sharks synopsis:

Noah, a shark-obsessed, struggling musician, has begun writing a screenplay for a low-budget feature film entitled, Shark Slayer. Scrambling to complete his script, his town of Surf Beach, California is turned upside down when news spreads of a small, unknown species of aggressive shark making its way up shower drains and attacking people while they are bathing. Noah remains skeptical, until he comes face to face with the menacing monsters himself. Will he complete his epic masterpiece, or succumb to the peril of the Shower Sharks?
