The vocalist of Dallas based band UNITYTX, has revealed four new songs with his side project, Shaolin G
The EP, “THE DISDAIN” is out today, 17th November and lead single “HAZED” can be streamed below.
The EP as a whole is about existential dread, the darkness that can surround an artist when creating but at the same time, finding the light beyond that.
“The ability to appreciate and love yourself every day doesn’t grow stronger if the focus isn’t directed internally.” says Shaolin G. “Imagine if you could truly express yourself without feeling the disconnect. Often, I find myself running in circles and it seems like I’m spiraling deeper into a place my mind is much frayed and distorted in. Confined in darkness with a mere glimmer of light as a reminder that it wasn’t always that way”
