“Scardust’s debut is packed with gothic drama from start to finish….But it’s singer Noa Gruman’s vocal gymnastics that stand out as she flips between elegant soprano and gutteral demon in a split second…..2015 EP Shadow hinted at what they could do but ‘Sands Of Time’ is extraordinary.”
“In a land that has given the world Orphaned Land, Reign Of The Architect, Quietus, Yossi Sassi Band, Soul Enema, Distorted Harmony, etc … Scardust are certainly a band that can continue to establish Israel as a progressive metal powerhouse on a global scale. Due to its unique sound and consistent intensity, I am giving Scardust’s Sands Of Timea 5/5″
Power Of Prog
“…..“Sands of Time” is timeless! It is a progressive metal epic that expands on the legacy of the biggest names in the genre but it also brings together multiple influences from various directions. Prog fans, symphonic metal fans, opera listeners, head-bang addicts, jazzy nerds and death metal maniacs come together and rejoice! Scardust has it all!”
Metal Observer, 10/10
“The astounding song writing, the high-quality instrumentals and jaw-dropping emotion-dripping vocals will pretty much match everything out there at present.”
Rock Music Raider, 9/10
‘Sands Of Time’ was mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Devin Townsend, BTBAM) and features cover art by Drake Mefestta (Cradle of Filth, Michael Romeo, Devilment) – is available now on gatefold double LP, digital and compact disc. The new CD reissue features a bonus acoustic piano demo of the previously unreleased song ‘Mist’, while the limited-edition debut vinyl pressing includes the group’s 2015 debut EP ‘Shadow’ in its entirety on Side D – the first time that release has been offered on vinyl as well.
The release of ‘Sands of Time’ – which also features guest vocals by Jake E (Cyhra, ex-Amaranthe) on the song ‘Blades’ – precedes two major summer festival performances by the band: the UK’s Ramblin’ Man Fair, where they will perform on the Prog In The Park stage alongside Riverside, Pain of Salvation and Anathema, and Slovenia’s week-long Metaldays, which also features the likes of Dream Theater, Arch Enemy and Demons & Wizards. In addition, SCARDUST has announced a couple of extra shows including the 18th July with Serpentyne and Patty Gurdy at Club 85 in Hitchin, and a special July 21 concert in London, where the group will perform with the UK symphonic metal act Pythia. Tickets are on sale now at this location: https://www.ticketweb.uk/
SCARDUST have previously played alongside the likes of Symphony X, Therion and Epica and earlier this month made their live debut in China, where the group performed at the country’s Midi Festival.
