Rowdy Scottish rock n rollers DEADFIRE ( ) drop their new EP, My Mind Belongs To The Devil, on Saturday 29th February, via Fat Hippy Records. The fiery foursome have also just set loose a new the track, Call From The Void – . With of this in mind, we asked the rockers to give us a handful of tunes that have influenced their sound and there’s a few surprises…….

“Tunk (drummer ) is mad on AC/DC. He loves the meat and potato approach they use in writing songs, simple rock n roll. Also Therapy? And Rage Against the Machine. Lastly, he’s also a massive Matt Sorum fan and always looking for that “sorum” sound.

Jonny (guitar) has an eclectic taste from right from John 5 to Every time Die (he loves their simplistic song writing). Julien Baker & Phoebe Bridgers are also influences and he claims that Harry Styles released the best album of 2019 (he might find himself sacked for that haha).

Boothy ( bass ) loves the old blues stuff like Buddy Guy and Albert king. As well as Hendrix, Zzeppelin, Alice in chains, Pearl Jam and Nirvana.

Charlie (vocals) is all about Motörhead, Slipknot, and Nirvana. Misfits are one of his favourites, Graves era, he loves the horror lyrics teamed with melancholy vocal style. Lastly, you can’t miss out Black Sabbath.

Put that all together and you get Deadfire!”
