Live Free Tourbooking are incredibly excited to announce the debut Belfast performance of Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum. The all-star avant-indie trio is comprised of Golden Globe winning actor Michael C Hall (Dexter, Lazarus), Peter Yanowitz (notably of The Wallflowers) and multi-instrumentalist Matt Katz-Bohen (of Blondie).
The winter 2021 tour is in support of their debut album THANKS FOR COMING which features singles ‘Eat an Eraser’ and ‘Too Cool To Care’. Both videos are available on YouTube, and the album is available on all streaming platforms. Thanks for Coming was written primarily during the pandemic, and tones and themes both sinister and sublime can be found throughout the music.
The trio are set to perform an intimate show in Ulster Sports Club, Belfaston Tuesday 7th December 2021 with support to be announced in the coming weeks.
“We never set out to start a band,” says Peter Yanowitz, one third of the all-star avant-indie trio. “It feels more like the band started us. Some of the best moments in art, though, are the ones you don’t plan for.” With influences from David Bowie to Black Sabbath to Donna Summer, all with a unique and modern spin – The band is comprised of a powerhouse trio: vocalist Michael C. Hall whose TV credits include “Dexter” and “Six Feet Under” and Broadway credits include lead roles in “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” and “Lazarus”; keyboardist Matthew Katz Bohen; and drummer Peter Yanowitz.
While Hall may be the most recognizable face in the band, his bandmates boast similarly prodigious resumes. Yanowitz began his career playing drums in The Wallflowers before going on to co-found indie stalwarts Morningwood and work with artists as varied as Natalie Merchant, Yoko Ono, Andrew W.K., and Billy Bragg & Wilco. Keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen, meanwhile, spent the last decade touring and recording with Blondie, in addition to working with the likes of Boy George and Cindy Lauper.
The band has already received coverage from media heavyweights to include Billboard, Paper Magazine, American Songwriter, Consequence of Sound, and more. With a loyal fan base and media buzz, PGTTBM is sure to be a breakthrough act of 2021.
