(TOKYO, JP – July 22nd, 2021) Post-hardcore quartet Clarity have premiered their new music video.

“Serenade” is out now; WATCH HERE.

The track is taken from the Japan outfit’s new EP, ‘In The Light of Lies Pt. 2’

Clarity, with bases in both Dublin and Tokyo, have created a cascading alternative rock collection, with bountiful pop sensibility balanced by djent-influenced riffs and resounding breakdowns.

Front man Andy Kavanagh spoke exclusively to Outburn, to discuss the video drop.

Having been conceived in its original form on music networking site Oursounds, Japan’s Clarity have a distinctly international composition, with members from Dublin and Tokyo coming together to create a cultured brand of alternative rock.

“Bringing together the precision and technicality of progressive metal, the sensory immersion of post-rock and some all-important pop sensibilities to hook you in.” – Rock Sound Magazine

Debut EP ‘In The Light of Lies, Pt. 1’ saw the light of day in March 2020, a 4-track of great promise and balance, featuring, among other buzzworthy tracks, a deft and genre-bending collaboration with rising J-Pop star KIA.

The quartet spent much of 2020 working on the second installment, and, whilst the pandemic ravaged any plans of touring to support the release, Clarity found their creative feet on ‘In The Light of Lies, Pt. 2’ blending post-hardcore roots, huge melodies and emotive, alternative rock grandeur for a sound packed with both heart and atmosphere.
