May 25, 2022 (New York, NY) – Photo Finish Records today announces the re-signing of NYC-based indie pop band MisterWives. Photo Finish will be launching an imprint with the band called Resilient Little Records.
Kicking off their new deal, MisterWives is releasing a new double single, including tracks “Easy” and “Where Do We Go From Here?”.
In an exclusive interview with Variety, the band said,
MisterWives says, “The last chapter of MisterWives taught us we can grow through treacherous, unexpected places like the wildflowers in the desert, and our new independent label Resilient Little Records put that lesson into action. On the other side of superbloom, we were met with more adversity and loss but we didn’t let that stand in the way of us moving forward. While it hasn’t been easy it gets easier especially when partnering with the dream team we originally started this journey with, Photo Finish Records. ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ and ‘Easy’ encompass a new era for MisterWives that dives deeper into our creative freedom and vulnerability that we hope resonates with anyone who listens.”
President and founder of Photo Finish Records, Matt Galle says, “MisterWives holds a dear place in my heart as we share a lot of history. We accomplished so much when we first worked together and I am thrilled to welcome them back home to Photo Finish where the whole team is excited to get started. The new music is great and we are all rolling up our sleeves!”
Initially signing with Photo Finish Records in 2013, both the band and the label are excited to be reunited. Photo Finish initially released their first EP Reflections which saw great success with sync licenses including the theme song for MTV’s Finding Carter and placements on the CW, MTV, Bud Light, A&E, TBS, and more. Following that, the band released their first full-length album, Our Own House through Photo Finish.
Photo Finish Records and Misterwives are happy to announce that the song Reflections has been RIAA certified Platinum, and the song, Our Own House is RIAA certified Gold.
MisterWives has had many impressive milestones throughout their career with performances on “Last Call with Carson Daly”, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Good Morning America, Live with Kelly and Michael, Jimmy Kimmel Live and VH1 Morning Buzz.
They have toured with Twenty One Pilots, sold-out Terminal 5 in NYC, and performed in arenas and at festivals across the world.
Misterwives is currently set to perform at Bottle Rock Festival in Napa Valley on May 27-29. This is followed by a headlining tour including a performance at Central Park SummerStage in NYC on June 23.
