Pete K Mally // Inspire // Book Review

10

Travel 100 pages with Pete K Mally in his latest book ‘Inspire’ as he discusses what motivates a number of true professionals in the Rock music world. What is success? What would they like their legacy to be? Just how did they get to where they got?

Pete himself, states that the main purpose of the book is to simply inspire people to be more creative because “inspiring someone to create something new is one of the most powerful tools we own in the world.” However, this book offers so much more.  The foreword and introduction alone discuss feeling alive, finding our ‘why’ and behaviour activation.  Then you have 5 chapters offering tips and tricks on how to get hooked in that creative state of flow, harnessing emotions, raising vibrations, focus and productivity.  All of this with a musical edge.

The way this book is written may be more of a rough gemstone than a finely polished one but that is part of its charm; It comes from the heart; it comes from a lot of people’s hearts. These people all have sound no-BS advice to share with us and this book provides a vessel in which to do so.  Pete’s own background in teaching, comedy, radio DJing and compering is evident throughout; he’s a natural-born entertainer and this read is not boring.

Brimming with voices of experience from the Creative Music Industry such as Ricky Warwick, Nick Wastell, Bruce John Dickinson, Verity White, Myke Gray, Daniel Byrne, Marc Valentine, Slyder Smith, Berty Burton, Imogen Rosemary and Nathan James to name a few.  ‘Inspire’ is a friendly, relatable book that you can guarantee is on your side, pretty transferable to most career paths and likely to leave you bubbling with creativity.  An incredibly worthwhile read.

Available to purchase in paperback and Kindle form (or you can even read it free on Kindle Unlimited) Pete K Mally will encourage you to get out there and give something a go!
