SAUSALITO, CA (April 9, 2020) — NYC rock band Serial Obsession, is all about sharing! “If you can’t come to us, we will come to you!” says lead vocalist/guitarist Shawn Sugrue. In 2019 the band released a 6 song ep “All I Need” then hit the ground running with high-octane live performances and saturating social media with sites and sounds. Recently the band put together a music video for the guitar driven, high-energy track, Almost There!

Helping to put the excitement back into Rock ‘n’ Roll, one riff at a time!!! Serial Obsession blends old school guitar rock from the 70’s and 80’s with the songwriting sensibilities of the 90’s and todays’ alternative and modern Rock!

Serial Obsession is a guitar driven rock band, whose roots were originally planted on the streets and in the clubs of NYC in late 2006. In 2007 they released a demo ep Sexy But Useless and started to make noise across the internet and local and regional clubs and venues. In 2010 a full albums worth of music was released “Shotgun Opera” and the band hit the ground running playing the Tristate area circuit plus doing weekenders in college towns like Ithaca, Syracuse, Pa, and Connecticut. Serial Obsessions music found its way on to many internet radio and terrestrial radio stations and also was and still is featured in AMI ROWE and Touchtunes jukeboxes nation wide. The band has also graced some of New York’s storied stages, B.B.Kings, Irving Plaza, The Bitter End opening up for many national acts. Along the way the band also released an ep in 2015 “Pull The Pin” again taking the band to another level of exposure. This leads us to now, 2020! Serial Obsession consists of Shawn Sugrue, original Lead singer/guitar, Lead guitar player Ian Colley, bassist Arnaud Mds, and longtime drummer T. Motts. This unit has spent most of 2018 honing their performance skills in clubs, venues and dive bars and combining all their influences to produce a new 6-song ep entitled “ALL I NEED” released in 2020 this collection finds the bands running on all cylinders. It is available on most platforms, including Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, etc. It has already been featured on several internet radio programs in New Zealand and the UK, podcasts  in Seattle, Washington and here in the US. With renewed energy and passion intact, the band is poised to push even further, so if you miss true, pure rock ‘n’ roll then you came to the right place because there is no Obsession like a Serial Obsession
