“The Strike are the real deal. These are the exact type of musicians we need at the forefront” – Quincy Jones
“Rock bluster with some funky motifs” – CLASH
October 14, 2022 – Los Angeles rockers The Strike release their new full-length album The Lost Years and announce signing to Nettwerk Music Group today. Purchase and stream the album, HERE.
Sophomore album The Lost Years is the follow up to their acclaimed 2017 debut Faint of Heart. With flashes of classic 80’s rock, these songs are dancefloor ready with The Strike’s infectious guitar riffs, sax solos, laser synths and anthemic choruses. Channeling the best of rock, from Bad Suns and The Midnight to The 1975, every track on this album is beautifully crafted and brimful of hooks to grab your attention.
“The Strike has always sought to provide listeners with a soundtrack for everyday living,” states The Strike vocalist Chris Crabb. “It is the hope of the band that those who discover this album develop a greater sense of optimism in their life. The themes found on ‘The Lost Years’ are meant to speak to everyone both young and old.”
ABOUT THE STRIKE:
Having received international attention following the release of their debut album; including a sync placement in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and being handpicked by Quincy Jones for a 3 month live residency, The Strike went from strength to strength. However, the pandemic put album plans on hold, and the band released a series of singles throughout the last few years – which have now been drawn together to form The Lost Years. Tracks such as “Nothing New”, “Devils In the Canyon” and “Painkillers” are featured on the upcoming release along with a brand new remix of “Nothing New” by Francisco Ojeda.
The Strike joins Nettwerk’s expanding label roster, which also includes St. Lucia, Geographer, Vacation Manor and Mr. Little Jeans. Stay tuned for more details about upcoming release plans by following The Strike on socials.
