Motionless In White return with a blistering new release Disguise, taking no prisoners it hits you right between the eyes right from the off and its relentless pace leaves you feeling battered and bruised by the end.

Following on from their highly successful recordings in Reincarnate (2014) and Graveyard Shift (2017) Disguise showcases their development with heavier, harder hitting tracks that pull no punches. Beautifully produced you can feel the air moving from the speakers of the amp cabs as wall after wall of distortion pummel’s you continuously throughout. Tracks like ‘Thoughts & Prayers’ with their fusion of clean and guttural vocals leave you breathless with their display of power and poise.

As savage as it is, Disguise is as melodic as it is brutal, there’s a fine balance between the punishment and the pleasure which is dosed out in equal value, ‘Legacy’ is a fine example, passionate and angst-ridden it’s anthemic quality will be sung at full force by MIW’s faithful at the live shows. The gargantuan production allows you to be consumed by each and every track, crank it up and let it swallow you whole to appreciate to the beauty within. “We really aimed to write a serious record and wear our hearts on our sleeves,” exclaims frontman, Chris. “I don’t talk about things online or in public. Instead, I use our lyrics as a way to express what’s going on in my life and my feelings. Things have been great for us on the exterior, but there’s so much we had to work through together and personally behind-the-scenes. Everything comes out on Disguise. I tried to give fans a look behind the mask and let them know what I’m dealing with on the inside as well as what they know of me on the outside.”

Tackling their issues through music makes for a powerful and authoritative recording that is hard to ignore, nor should you. As a statement of intent MIW has delivered a beauty that could be one their finest recording to date and well worth spending your hard earned cash on.
