MANTRA Release Video For RUN AWAY

Debut Album DREAMLAND Due 15th February
On Dine Alone Records

25th September 2018
Mantra have revealed the official video for latest single Run Away, which captures their turbulent and colossal sound. Abrasive, oscillating and anthemic, the track is produced by Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Ghost, Pixies) and showcases a new strength to Mantra’s sound.

Vocalist Simon Stark explains “We filmed the video for Run Away at two in the morning in a field in Milton Keynes. It was at the end of a four day shoot filming three music videos in one go!

The track has an undercurrent of low grade malaise running through the lyrics, mirroring the tension in the verse, and thematically explores self-esteem growing up during the austerity years. It’s is another track that Tom Dalgety really helped to shape, he had great ideas on how to get the chorus to stand out. When I was writing it, I wanted to play with the dynamics in the verse using stabs of distortion within the tension of that Jaws style riff, so the listener is kept on their toes”.
