So for anyone unfamiliar with Major Moment, tell us a little bit about your backstory and how you ended up here.

Hey Rock ‘N’ Load, thank you for having us!

We are a rock band based in Boston, MA that hits you with the cinematic sound bringing together the best of both worlds: heavy riffs, punchy drums, modern synths, samples and percussion, with dynamic vocal lines and thoughtful poetic lyricism delivered by two Russian-born vocalists. It’s not your average band for sure, haha. We are on a mission to inspire others to pursue their dreams and live a life of purpose, hoping to return the favor for all those moments music helped us to go through in life.

2. What’s Happening Now: Tell us about what you are currently up to.

We are preparing to release our brand new single “The Flood” on July 10th! This is very exciting for us, and we just can’t wait for everyone to hear it. We strongly believe this is our best song to date. Lyrically, it was inspired by a dramatic event in our personal lives, when people we trusted just didn’t live up to their words and didn’t care about how their actions could affect others. But as we were writing it, we realized it also talks about a much bigger scale of problems that the world is experiencing right now. There are several surprises we can’t give away quite yet, but it’s gonna be well worth the wait, trust us!

3. What is next for Major Moment?

Besides “The Flood”, we have 3 more singles that are done and ready to go. We think we’re going to release at least one, possibly two more by the end of the year. Also, we have started working on our next music video for “The Flood” which is going to be epic! Any live shows? Maybe, this post-pandemic world is very uncertain. But we still have a few gigs and festivals planned this year, and as of today, they are still happening! But if not, we’ll put together a killer online show for everyone to enjoy!

Influences & Inspiration

Avril Lavigne – “Anything But Ordinary”. Literally been my life’s anthem.

Linkin Park – “In The End”. Should I even say anything about this one?

Duran Duran – “What Happens Tomorrow”. After decades of rocking the scene, these guys just keep inspiring.

Keane – “Is It Any Wonder?”. Rock without guitars, but with distorted synths? Yes, please!

Cold – “No One”. I guess from listening to Cold, I started to appreciate darker, heavier sound more.

Backstreet Boys – “Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely”. Taught me American accent and developed my love for harmonies.

Linkin Park – “Somewhere I Belong”. The first Linkin Park song I’ve ever heard. It changed my life and turned me into rock music.

Avril Lavigne – “I’m With You”. You don’t wanna know how many times I tried to recreate this music video. Just walking around my city. Lol.

Evanescence – “Going Under”. This song means a lot to me. Personal memory. Also, Amy Lee’s powerful voice really shines here!

Papa Roach – “To Be Loved…” Every live show of theirs is an absolute blast! “I’m gonna follow my heart. No matter how far.”
