On October 12th, we challenged a team to create Kitt Philippa’s latest music video using only the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. What would you do if you had next-…
Having released their debut album ‘Human’ on October 11th to widespread critical acclaim from sources such as Sunday Times Culture Magazine, which described the album as ‘astonishing’, Paragon Records sourced the talents of acclaimed Irish film director Hugh O’Conor, to create a beautiful music video for Kitt Philippa’s new single Fahrenheit, using only the newly released Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
Speaking at the launch of the video, Kitt said of the video process: “Fahrenheit is a personal track for me and I wanted a video to honour that. It’s been an interesting experience getting to work so closely with Hugh and the extended team. They have collectively put so much time and attention into capturing a visual that reflects some of the ambiguous qualities within the track using only the Samsung Galaxy Note10.”
Kitt Philippa – who has 3 songs nominated for Song of the Year at the Northern Irish Music Prize – has said the process of putting together their debut album has been one steeped in a desire to capture the push and pull of what it means to be human in 2019. Fahrenheit for example, with the weight of its lyrics and intensity of their delivery, addresses the difficulties of interaction.
Kitt plays a Dublin Headline show at The Sugar Club, Dublin on November 26th
