Kiefer Sutherland of late has made a real push with his musical career as his love for the six string and adoration of a live crowd pulls on his heart strings, relentlessly touring and making his mark on the road Kiefer has one again returned with his latest offering, Reckless & Me. Released earlier this year the Special Edition has just been released with a live recording from Berlin.

Immediately you’re wrapped up in a blanket of Country and Americana goodness with the opening track ‘Open Road’ with is delicious storytelling and melodic hook you cant but help warm to its quality. Following up on Sutherlands critically acclaimed 2016 debut release ‘Down In A Hole’ the musician has evolved and his time on the road has stood him well with this ten track recording packed with first class songs. The album musically is highly engaging, edgy with a contemporary twist on a tried and tested genre.

The album is built from good honest, heartfelt songwriting that will resonate with established fans and newbies alike, with a seriously talented backline the musicianship ebb’s and flows as each song treats you to an audible feast with beautiful slide guitar work, steel lap guitars and more. Marry that with Sutherlands endearing vocals and a variety of musical styles fused together across ten tracks and what’s not to love? You can tell that these songs are born out of experience on the road as that is where these will truly come to life, in a room full of friends and on the live stage where these songs will take a life of their own.

A worthy sophomore album, Reckless & Me will help cement Sutherland the musician and pave the way to future beauties. Reckless & Me Special Edition includes the original album along with a bonus disc featuring Sutherland’s full concert in Berlin. Recorded on March 1, 2019 at SchwuZ in Berlin, Germany, the live disc captures an energetic and dynamically-tight set from Kiefer and his band.
