KEITH COOK releases his new single ‘Child’s Play‘, out now Riot Records.
Keith Cook was the guitarist for the protopunk band Debris, with whom he was included in a history exhibit covering the notable rock and rollers from their home state of Oklahoma.
Keith has just released his new single ‘Child’s Play’ digitally via Riot Records and it is the follow up to recent single ‘Never Equate’.
‘Child’s Play’ is the 2nd single from Keith Cook’s upcoming solo album Rock & Roll Riot featuring Criss Crass (of the Muffs, Wayne/Jayne County, Sleepy LeBeef, Duff MacKagan, Fartz) on drums, and recorded by legendary indie producer Steve Fisk (who also recorded another of Crass’ 80s bands the Mac’s band).
Cook’s latest single is two guitars, a bass & drums mic’d up using a classic Rolling Stones technique, with tongue in cheek lyrics about the fun and power of a simple three chord rock & roll song. The vocal melodies in a short burst of garage power pop riffs in the tradition of early rock, classic rock and punk songs that clock in at under two minutes.
