Kaviani has announced the release of the first single from his debut album, ‘Undertow,’ on November 5th 2021. Produced and mixed with Phil Da Costa, ‘Undertow,’ was written by Kaviani in July last year.
Referencing influences such as Biffy Clyro and Thin Lizzy, Kaviani says of his new single, ‘I’ve not hidden the fact that I struggled with lockdown last year and this song was written at my darkest point when I was drinking heavily. I didn’t know what to do, how gigs and my career would start up again, so one night I just started writing this song and ‘Undertow’ was the end result.’
It’s been a busy time for Kaviani, who has spent the last few years as a session guitarist, touring with multi-platinum artists Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple/Rainbow) and Eric Martin (Mr Big) as well as touring with Damon Johnson & Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy/Alice Cooper/Black Star Riders).
Kaviani was also asked to cover for Sebastian Bach/Vince Neil guitarist Brent Woods on Tara Lynch’s support tour for UFO on their 22-date sold out farewell tour of the UK & IRL in 2019.
Now taking his skills to his own craft, Kaviani has spent time writing and recording in London and Nashville and writing with multi-platinum producers Pete Woodroffe (Def Leppard) and Phil Da Costa (Mick Fleetwood) at his London studios.
You can catch Kaviani at his next London show on Sunday 20th February2022 at The Half Moon, Putney.
