a relentlessly tuneful 17-minute collection of all-killer, no-filler power-pop” – New York Times

the songs are studiously, almost mathematically propellant, creating a rush of exhilaration that feels equally earned.” – Pitchfork

They’re starting to seem like the emo revival’s answer to Spoon: a hooky, straightforward rock band that can’t seem to miss, with a signature touch you can’t mistake no matter how much they tweak the details.” –  Stereogum (Album Of The Week)

The sensitive charm and sly edge of the music’s tattered emotions, blown-out melodies, and diverting abandon have placed the group’s work in the league of modern punk-rock classics.” – The New Yorker

sounds like the Joyce Manor you fell in love with from the very beginning…” – SPIN

Indie/pop-punk staples Joyce Manor are back with a brand-new music video for their song “NBTSA” from critically acclaimed sixth studio album ‘40 oz. To Fresno’. With cheeky lyrics and frenetic energy clocking in at just over a minute long, the track calls to the “ragtag spirit of their debut” according to Stereogum’s Album Of The Week feature.

Still riding the post-show high of their monumental Long Beach Arena set, the video depicts footage of heartfelt moments and goofy antics from the band as they explore the venue and celebrate the occasion with friends and family. Watch it below!

Since forming in 2008 in a Disneyland parking lot, the Southern California pop-punk trio has been capturing listeners’ attention through catchy-yet-thought provoking lyrics and high energy shows. Although they have an established sound that reflects the innate energetic and gritty nature of the band that fans have come to expect, they push the limits by experimenting throughout the recording process. Their 6th studio album, 40 oz. to Fresno (2022), earned praise from publications such as The FADERUPROXXPitchforkNPRNew York Times and many others. Produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Tokyo Police Club, Joyce Manor’s ‘Cody’,) mixed by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Phoenix) with Tony Thaxton of Motion City Soundtrack on drums, a sense of liberation lies at the core of this project. It’s strangely fitting that the title was taken from an auto-corrected text message about Sublime, but those types of happy accidents are all over 40 oz. To Fresno – and worth the subsequent sonic hangover.

March 1st marks the kickoff of Joyce Manor’s co-headline run with PUP! The 15 date tour will stop in Dallas, San Franciso, Seattle and more, ending in Boise, ID on March 19th. Tickets are on sale here: https://joyce-manor.com/tour

About PUP

Toronto punk heroes PUP— comprised of Stefan Babcock, Nestor Chumak, Zack Mykula, and Steve Sladkowski— released their incredible, ambitious and aptly titled fourth album, THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND, earlier this year and just wrapped a 100+ date tour that spanned 14 countries. The album earned PUP universal acclaim from the likes of The New York Times, Pitchfork, NPR Music, The New Yorker, Vulture and more, plus countless Top 10 Billboard chart positions including #1 Heatseekers, Top New Artists Albums and Alternative New Artist Albums, and a slew of sold-out shows across the globe. THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND was recorded and mixed over the course of five weeks in the summer of 2021, in GRAMMY Award-winning producer Peter Katis’ bat-filled mansion in Connecticut. Full of typically furious, ridiculous and anthemic songs, the recording process allowed PUP to push themselves further than ever before. With more time in the studio, they were able to craft their songs sonically in a way they were unable to in the past, and allowed themselves to incorporate new instruments like piano, synths, horns, and more for the first time. Though made in madness-inducing isolation, PUP were remotely joined on the album by Sarah from illuminati hotties, Kathryn from NOBRO, Mel from Casper Skulls, and Erik from Remo Drive. The result is not just the latest PUP record, but the *most* PUP record.

Joyce Manor is Barry Johnson (vocals/guitar), Chase Knobbe (guitar) and Matt Ebert (bass)
