“Jack White and The Black Keys feel very much a part of the DNA of JJ Wilde, with a bit of the mystery of the punk of the Kills thrown in as well. Buzzy guitar riffs, razor sharp guitar solos and a voice to command the stage. An undeniable rock star in the making.”
Jack Saunders- BBC Radio 1

JJ Wilde has today announced a UK/EU tour for Autumn 2021.  The shows will see her hitting these shores for the first time since releasing the incredible “Wilde” EP earlier this year.

JJ spoke on the tour and said “This upcoming tour will be my first time playing shows in Europe. Something that I’ve always dreamed of. Something that I’ve always equated to fantasy of being a performer and traveling the world. I cannot wait!”

JJ Wilde is poised to become a household name with the recent release of her eponymous sophomore EP WILDE out now via Black Box. The six-track offering was born of necessity, allowing Wilde the chance to break free from the everyday and through the songs, taking her to a place where anything is possible. “These are feel good, fun songs”, says JJ of WILDE, which she hopes will give the listener “an escape to turn to and reminisce on good times, or day dream of the brighter days ahead.”

JJ Wilde made history recently by winning the JUNO Award for Rock Album Of The Year for her previous full length “Ruthless”.  She is the first woman to pick up the award since Alanis Morisette’s “Jagged Little Pill” 25 years ago. JJ didn’t stop there: she set new radio charting records in Canada, leapt into the US-music festival circuit, and graced New York City’s Times Square on Spotify’s coveted Billboard with the release of WILDE. Adding to the North American successes, she debuted on the international television show Taratata in France, recorded a breathtaking live stream performance for Paste Magazine in Napa Valley, was included in Spotify’s Radar, and Amazon’s Breakthrough International Artist Programs, and is embarking on a global tour this autumn, and winter.

In 2020, Wilde was also the first female artist to simultaneously hit #1 on all three Canadian rock charts with her debut single ‘The Rush’, holding the slot for a whopping 19 weeks. Never one to rest on her laurels, Wilde quickly followed with two more back to back #1’s; ‘Best Boy’, the IDGAF ode to altering the societal narrative for how women should behave, and her most recent hit ‘Mercy’, a tour de force of modern rock in the form of a tale of revenge. ‘Best Boy’ and ‘Mercy’ can both be found on WILDE, in addition to her focus single, ‘Someone Under You’ and her infallible cover of the Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty classic ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’, with The Glorious Sons’ Brett Emmons lending his vocal stylings on the duet.

Wilde’s debut album Ruthless, which earned praise from American Songwriter (“profoundly moving”), Ones to Watch (“soul-stirring”), Alternative Press (“for fans of [The] Struts, Amy Winehouse and YONAKA … kicking ass and taking names”), Atwood (“Fiercely unapologetic”), and Earmilk (“undeniable grit”), and was just added at the 2022 Download Festival, the UK’s premier rock festival.
