Formed in 2017, Scathed are an independent 5 piece hard rock/metal band based in Dublin, taking a range of influences across heavier genres from the likes of Loathe and Trivium to Marmozets and The Distillers. Combining their varied influences with elements of post-rock, Scathed present savage riffs, a calamitous rhythm section and distinctive vocal “somewhere between Blondie’s Debbie Harry and Pantera‘s Phil Alselmo” (Metal Wani, 2018) that has carved out their niche in the Irish metal scene. Their abrasive yet hooky, genre crossing anthems have landed them huge support slots, namely Halestorm in a sold out Academy Dublin in 2018 and more recently this year with Hands Off Gretel in Voodoo Lounge, Belfast. The last three years have seen Scathed gig relentlessly across the Irish metal circuit alongside the likes of Jet Fuel Chemistry, GREYFACE and Dead Label, while receiving support from press such as Metal Wani, Overdrive, Headstuff and Rock N Load.

Since releasing their debut EP ‘Where Truth Occurs’ , Scathed have focused on honing their songwriting and genre. They are back from the depths of a nationwide lockdown, eager to share what they have come up with, starting with their new single ‘Deceit’, dropping 13th November 2020.
