Looking for some fresh sounds, sick of the usual run of the mill generic BS hitting your airwaves, well look no further! Travis Mills (musical artist, Beats 1 Host, actor) and Nick Gross (Big Noise, Gross Labs, Find Your Grind) have just dropped their debut self-titled album and it kicks ass!

It’s a Pop-Punk-Rock extravaganza, born out of the love of the genre and the bands that inspired them in their youth the duo have hit the ground running with a pummelling collection of high energy, in your face tracks that resonate from the off. Melodic from start to finish you’ll be singing along in no time, they have already gained serious momentum with their earlier releases in debut single ‘California’ gaining 1M + streams and 100k views on YouTube. So these guys are already onto a winning formula, youthful good looks and charm in spades how does that translate to the music?

Well right from the off you’re enveloped in a world of highly addictive, punchy, and melodic tracks that you can’t help but be won over by, the easy on the ear melodies just ebb and flow from start to finish and you can’t help but be pulled in by their charm. Bangers like ‘California’ may have stole the show initially but the album is packed with tracks that will have you grinning from ear to ear, clearly, the guys had a vision for their sound and they have executed it perfectly to let the simplicity of the songwriting to shine through and that is the strength of what they have done here, it could have been so easy to over-cook it, but these guys have delivered the perfect Pop-Punk album that will no doubt win them over an army of fans in no time. Let’s be honest 2020 has been an absolute mess, so if you are looking for that little taste of escapism girlfriends is exactly what you need.

Produced by John Feldmann (5 Seconds Of Summer, blink-182, One OK Rock, The Used) he has helped translate their ideas into reality and delivered a debut album to be proud of, girlfriends will no doubt go from strength to strength and you’ll be hearing a lot more from these guys moving forward. Tasty visuals and slick marketing are well-matched by quality music, these guys don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk.

girlfriends is out now via Big Noise.
