SCOTTISH UP-AND-COMERS RETURN WITH THEIR FIRST RELEASE ON MARSHALL RECORDS

Cutting their teeth on stages up and down the UK, the five-piece from Glasgow, Scotland, have released their debut single on Marshall Records. After selling out the famous King Tut’s and being announced as part of The Great Escape First Fifty, ‘Fruitflies’ comes ahead of their hotly anticipated December tour.

A track about life-changing events, guitarist Eamon Ewins explains; “From old things come new things – fruit flies feed on rotting pears/pairs. The chorus is a nod to the fact that resisting change so resolutely is extremely damaging to yourself. It’s something I’d wanted to write about for a while having gone through it myself and seen it in countless other people, including my own parents. That’s what inspired the song rather than what it’s about though.”

Bold, daring and reckless, the Scottish word ‘Gallus’ is a fitting description for the band. Their headline tour kicks off on in Newcastle Upon Tyne and finishes with them returning home to play their largest headline show to date at St Luke’s in Glasgow.
