JETBOY – ’Born To Fly’
Founded in 1983 by guitarists Billy Rowe and Fernie Rod, Jetboy continue to crank out theirbrand of rock n’ roll with the same passion. ’Born To Fly’ is the band’s first album of all newmaterial since 1990 and has been put together by the duo together with vocalist Mickey Finn, former Faster Pussycat bassist Eric Stacy and drummer Al Serrato. “Most of the songs werewritten within a couple of months after we gor the offer from Frontiers,” says Rowe. “Both thewriting and recording this album came naturally. We feel it happened at the right time andwas meant to be. The spirit of the band has been at an all time high ever since we startedtracking this album and we all felt something special was going on.” Best described as ablend of edgy rock and roll with a traditional blues based influence, ‘Born To Fly’ is the perfectvehicle to exploit the commanding style of the band’s classic rock ‘n roll sound, with vocalistMickey Finn adding that “the lyrics flowed amazingly fast. My feelings were to stay true to ourroots, but also to incorporate where we are at today.” ‘Born To Fly’ is a fine rock record by anymeasure, hinting back to the band’s 80’s sound and their 70’s influences, while adding 30+ years of experience into the grooves. Jetboy is ready to fly again.Lyric video : ‘Beating The Odds’

KANE ROBERTS – ’The New Normal’Of all the iconic 1980’s rock ’n’ roll concert images, one of the most memorable is Alice Cooper’sRambo-alike guitarist and his M-60 machine gun guitar. That musician is Kane Roberts, anaccomplished writer and singer in his own right, but who first came to prominence co-writing andtouring with Alice Cooper in the mid-80’s. Becoming well-known in the music business for hisbody builder image as much as his writing/guitar skills, he has nevertheless landed solo US Top40 hits and, besides his tenure with Alice Cooper, his CV includes recording, writing and touringwith artists such as Rod Stewart, Desmond Child, KISS, Diane Warren, Alice in Chains, Berlin,Guns N’ Roses and Garland Jeffries, while he has also written or recorded for several movies.Roberts is now back with a new album, ‘The New Normal’, and this time he has made it extraspecial by enlisting friends that include Alice Cooper and Alissa White-Gluz (of Arch Enemy)guesting on lead vocals on the song ‘Beginning Of The End’ (which also features Babymetaldrummer Aoyama Hideki). Roberts has also reunited former Alice Cooper bandmates KipWinger, Paul Taylor and Ken Mary for album opener ‘Above and Beyond’, while other guestappearances include Nita Strauss on lead guitar for ‘King of the World’ and Lzzy Hale(Halestorm), who has co-written ‘The Lion’s Share’. ‘The New Normal’ re-introduces a uniqueartist ready to return to the spotlight. Melding the old and new in Metal on an outstandingalbum, it is not to be missed. Get ready to be blown away!Audio : ‘Forever Out Of Place’

STARBREAKER – ’Dysphoria’Former TNT frontman Tony Harnell has teamed up with prolific guitarist Magnus Karlsson(Primal Fear and Allen/Lande) for this much anticipated third Starbreaker album. Initially begunas Harnell’s side project while he was still in TNT, Starbreaker morphed into a quartet thatincluded Karlsson, former TNT drummer John Macaluso and bassist Fabrizio Grossi, recordingand releasing a debut self-titled album in 2005. By 2007, Starbreaker had become Harnell’smain concern and a second record entitled ‘Love’s Dying Wish’ was released the following year.Although Harnell eventually rejoined TNT, he left that group again in 2017 and began workingwith Karlsson once again to record ‘Dysphoria’. Offering an eclectic mix of Melodic andaggressive Metal, the long wait has certainly been worth it. Including a cover of the classicJudas Priest song from which the group derives its name, Harnell and Karlsson here offer theirmost mature, exciting and varied release to date.Audio : ‘How Many More Goodbyes’ Audio : ‘Pure Evil’

TOBY HITCHCOCK – ’Reckoning’Powerhouse US vocalist Toby Hitchcock came to the attention of Melodic Rock fans on thedebut album by Pride of Lions. Discovered by iconic songwriter Jim Peterik (‘Eye Of The Tiger’,etc) his voice has been compared to Bobby Kimball (Toto), Jimi Jamison (Survivor) and LouGramm (Foreigner), yet maintains a unique identity that has made him a star in the MelodicRock scene. With Pride of Lions currently on hiatus, Hitchcock has taken the opportunity tomake a second solo album following the excellent reactions to his debut, ‘Mercury’s Down’.Hooking up with Swedish producer Daniel Flores (Murder of My Sweet, Mind’s Eye, FindMe), the result is another marriage made in the AOR stratosphere that again shows offHitchcock’s vocal talent to maximum effect.Video : ‘Promise Me’

QUIET RIOT – ’One Night In Milan’Quiet Riot’s performance at the 2018 edition of the Frontiers Rock Festival marked the band’sfirst-ever concert in Italy….and what a hell of a show it was!  With the entire crowd singing along, they took no prisoners, offering the packed venue a superb selection of their greatest hits plussome special surprises (including the first ever live rendition of ‘Thunderbird’ from the multi-platinum ‘Metal Health’ album). The lineup featured original member Frankie Banali on drums, bassist Chuck Wright (who has been involved since the recording of ‘Metal Health’) guitaristAlex Grossi (who has been in the band for 14 years) and new singer James Durbin, who waspreviously an ‘American Idol’ contestant. Proving that Quiet Riot are stronger than ever and inperfect metal health, this unique performance shows off a band that is still at the top of its game!Video : ‘Mama We’re All Crazee Now’
