“If you took one look at that Foreign Hands artwork and thought “that looks like the best early 2000s metalcore CD I never bought,” you are going to want to hear this song.” – BrooklynVegan

“Utilising all of the things that made the early 00’s metalcore movement so vicious and exciting, and pushing it through a modern lens of production, the band create a whirlwind of aggression, angst and energy that is impossible to ignore.” – Rock Sound

“Drawing inspiration from both metalcore and emo bands of the early 2000s, Foreign Hands know how to put their own stamp on that nostalgia and make it feel vital and vibrant.”  – Knotfest

“Foreign Hands delivers both an interrogation and celebration of metalcore’s lineage.” – No Echo

“It strikes that glorious balance between melody and savagery.” – Distorted Sound

Today, Delaware band Foreign Hands have released their new EP, Bleed The Dream, out now on DAZE. The five songs on the EP teeter between metalcore and hardcore, strewn with chaotic riffs and raw emotion that make for an enticing package. It’s easy to say Foreign Hands’ sound transports the listener back to the heydays of early 2000s metalcore, not feeling out of place on what labels like Trustkill or Ferret Music were releasing, but there’s also an inherent modern edge that make the band stand out on their own. Opener “Anemoia” starts with a vocal fury from Tyler Norris as the band weaves between chugging guitars and lush melodies, a formula that works throughout the record. Single “Separation Souvenir” plays into the band’s influences, namely Poison The Well, while “A Cardiac Winter” pushes through with lustful ferocity as both Norris and guitarist Jack Beatson repeatedly call out “Can you keep your heart steady in my arms?”. The EP rounds out with title track “Bleed The Dream”, a heady mix of spoken word, screams, and clean vocals surrounded by a wild breakdown that is sure to be a fan favorite when performed live.

Bleed The Dream was recorded with Andy Nelson at Bricktop Studios (Wristmeetrazor, Weekend Nachos) and Isaac Hale of Knocked Loose also contributed a hand in the writing process. The EP is available on CD and limited cassette now through DAZE and digital via Bandcamp. To celebrate the release, Foreign Hands will head out on a short tour with Silenus starting February 26th, dates below.

Foreign Hands is Tyler Norris (vocals), Jack Beatson (guitar/vocals), Gill Gonzales (guitar), Chuck Minix (bass), and Tyler Washington (drums).
