Alt-Rock band Flight Brigade dropped their latest offering Chased By Wolves recently and for many it may have slipped under the radar, but is definitely one well worth checking out.

A band Wwho are so easy on the ear, beautifully melodic, retro in vibe and first class songwriters that have produced an album that will be the soundtrack that holds onto those summer vibes you long for. Right from the off you know you’re not in Kansas anymore as the album opener ‘Heartbreaker’ opens up a parallel universe of sorts, a Stranger Things vibe that says you have arrived. It’s a beautifully melodic number, with a highly addictive chorus that will have you singing along in no time. The albums title track equally grabs you by the scruff of the neck and pulls you in, each track is stronger than the last and is more intriguing too, with so many layers and intricacies you cant help but hit repeat to fully immerse yourself in its wonder.

A sizeable band, with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in, Synth’s, Violin, and further Key’s for example will help spell out the vibe created here. Pop-Rock would be more apt to the overall feel but there are deep roots in Rock for sure that scream through from time to time on the album. Possibly the highly polished production hides them well to create a more radio friendly output, but the soft sounding deliver of vocals from Olie Baines and the harmonizing throughout are a warm and welcome feel which give Flight Brigade their engaging sound.

A sonic rollercoaster packed with instant classics, Chased By Wolves is highly recommended if you like to decompress occasionally from the heavier side of Rock.

Chased By Wolves is available now via Rebel Cinema Records via Wixen Music Publishing.

Think of Flight Brigade as a family and you start to understand the chemistry between them. Consider their songs as epic stories to which each member is essential, and you begin to grasp what makes their music so powerful. Watch them perform and you can’t fail to be struck by the special bond they share.

Their sound is as distinctive as it is unique. Infectious melodies and hooks flow through songs that at times exude fierce energy and at others gentle poignancy. With grand orchestral sweeps, crunching anthemic guitars, strings and synths, their explosive performances feel like it’s their last day on earth!

Festival appearances have included Glastonbury, Bestival, The Great Escape, Beautiful Days, Blissfields, and Boomtown as well as Reeperbahn in Germany. Named one of Time Out’s ‘Rising Stars’, radio play has included, Dan O’Connell Radio X; Steve Lamacq & Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music; Gary Crowley, Bob Harris and Janice Long on BBC Radio 2. Signed to Wixen Publishing (Neil Young, Black Keys, Rage Against the Machine) in 2018, their songs have also been used on ‘Made In Chelsea’, Channel 4’s ‘Sunday Brunch’ and E4’s “Tattoo Fixers” Flight Brigade caught the ear of esteemed producer Chris Porter (George Michael, Elton John, Bowie) and were invited to record their second album at The Visconti Studio. The album is due for release on 13th September 2019.

Members Ollie, Thomas and Dorry also compose for film, adverts and TV. Their expanding side project has seen a commission for ITV, an advert for NBC in the states, and independent films such as the upcoming ‘Learning the Ropes’ narrated by Ray Winstone.
