27th Jul 2018
Rising Leeds band Fizzy Blood have announced the complete line-up for their UK headline shows in September.

Household Dogs and The Golden Age of TV will support at Leeds Brudenell Games Room on 19th September. The London show will see Inklings and Kid Kapichi support at Boston Music Room on 21st September.

“These are going to be our last headline shows of the year before we climb back into our hole and work on something special for you lot. We’ll be playing some shiny new songs and dusting off some of the old ones so come on down and wave us off alongside some other great bands that we’re excited to have on the bill”
– Jake Greenway, drums
19th Sep – Brudenell Games Room, Leeds
21st Sep – Boston Music Room, London
Fizzy Blood are set to release their Pink Magic EP later this year on Killing Moon/Alya Records. Recorded in Brighton with producer Alex Newport (Bloc Party, Tigercub, The Mars Volta), the Pink Magic EP captures Fizzy Blood as a multifaceted and self-assured force, testament to their rapid growth in the UK DIY scene. It follows 2015’s Feast EP, and last year’s Summer Of Luv EP (KKKK – Kerrang!).

Current single and title track Pink Magic was playlisted on BBC Radio 1 in mid-June. Combined with previous single CFO, Fizzy Blood have received plaudits from the likes of DIY, Wonderland, Kerrang! Magazine & Radio, Alternative Press, Planet Rock Radio and Amazing Radio.

“It’s taken us a few years to figure out who we are as a band, as musicians and as people, and this is the happiest we’ve ever been with our music. In the UK music scene it’s easy to get boxed in, we’ve managed to tour with the likes of While She Sleeps and then go straight on to hit the road with Spring King, very different crowds and very different music, however, all this has taught us is that we’re not a metal band and we’re not an indie band, we want to be the band that excites all listeners of music and more”
– Paul Howells

2018 has been busy year for Fizzy Blood so far, kickstarting with a UK tour supporting Spring King in January, followed by a debut headline tour in February – which included a sold out show in Leeds. Other recent live highlights include Live At Leeds, The Great Escape and Truck festival.

Fizzy Blood are showing no sign of slowing down, gearing up for Y Not and Boardmastersfestivals ahead of September’s headline shows.
