FiXT Noir Announces Exclusive Roster Signing Toronto Is Broken,
Full-Length Drum & Bass-Metal
Album Clare Out Now
Featuring New Remix Of “Paragons” From Zardonic
Los Angeles, California – UK drum & bass producer Christian Hoffmann, better known as Toronto Is Broken has announced signing an exclusive label deal with FiXT Noir this week, the new EDM imprint from artist owned label FiXT from producer/founder Klayton (Celldweller / Scandroid). Marking the label’s debut, exclusive-artist-signing, Toronto Is Broken’s full-length album Clare arrives today on platforms worldwide through FiXT Noir, along with an all new remix of “Paragons” by Zardonic.
Heralding previous releases with legendary drum & bass labels, Viper Recordings and Sub Slayers, Toronto is Broken found himself pushing beyond the edges of traditional drum & bass with his unique fusion of metal and guitars, which brought the project to the attention of multi-genre producer Celldweller, through a personal recommendation from EDM producer MUZZ.
Originally released independently on Toronto Is Broken’s own label YANA Music, Clare is now being re-released via FiXT Noir to bring the album to a larger audience and break through genre-barriers. The album features collaborations with high-caliber artists such as Aktive, BVLVNCE, Christina Rotondo, Deuce & Charger, Matt Neux, and Amy Kirkpatrick. Across the album’s 15 tracks, Toronto Is Broken strikes a unique balance between rock and electronic music, featuring sections of full-scale metalcore, dancefloor and vocal drum & bass, and everything in between.
The FiXT Noir release of Clare comes packaged with all 15 original album tracks, plus a weighty new remix of “Paragons” from the Venezuelan DJ and “metal & bass” mastermind Zardonic.

Zardonic, who is no stranger to FiXT (with his remixes for Celldweller, The Qemists, Circle of Dust, FreqGen, and Richy Nix), comes out with the heavy artillery on his “Paragons” remix, highlighting the original’s metalcore and dancefloor elements, while also bringing in slivers of symphonic music and industrial rock.
Zardonic is a Venezuelan keyboardist, DJ, composer, producer, and remixer primarily known for his heavy electronic dance music, dubbed as Venezuela’s top DJ act and one of the Top 10 best DJ masks in the world, with releases peaking at #1 in Beatport’s Drum & Bass releases of the week and Amazon’s Hard Rock & Metal Bestsellers.
Christian Hoffmann, better known as Toronto Is Broken, is a British DJ and producer based in Leicestershire. Christian Hoffmann’s initial venture into the world of music started out with a guitar whilst at school, and after various attempts to attract bands with his passion, he went on a solo mission to produce electronic music inspired by Enter Shikari’s first album Take to the Skies. Several years of work and perseverance later, Christian went on to be picked up by the UK bass label Sub Slayers, ran by former Kiss FM and RAM Records president Jay Cunning. His first release The Move It EP received high praise and featured “Spirit Song 2012”, played by everyone from Paul Oakenfold to Sub Focus. “Spirit Song 2012” was also used as the main piece in the Arcadia Spectacular show at festivals all over the world.
After several EP’s, remixes and singles on Sub Slayers, Christian released his debut album,* Section Nine* (2015), a concept record that tells the story of a civilisation that falls apart due to their dependence on technology and social networks. This opened many doors for him that led to releases on the prestigious Futurebound’s iconic Viper Recordings which released his second LP You Are (Not) Alone (2018), a sequel to Section Nine, which tells the story of an individual’s personal struggle with depression and isolation, trying to find their place in a fallen world.
Christian Hoffman has earned his fair share of support from DJs across the dance music spectrum, including Noisia, Paul Oakenfold, Sub Focus, Blanke, Metrik, Friction, Matrix & Futurebound, Joe Ford, TC and René LaVice (BBC Radio 1). In 2019, Toronto Is Broken was invited to remix Netsky & Aloe Blacc’s “Snitch,” which has since amassed over a million streams on Spotify. His last full album Clare (2019), seamlessly crossed between drum & bass and metal throughout its running length.
Hoffmann also heads his own drum & bass label, YANA Music, his own space for creativity, which has now grown into a strong family of artists, honing and nurturing newfound talent such as Coastal, Matt Neux, Vypes, as well as providing a home for some more established acts such as Aktive and Richter.
