Ever since releasing their demo in 2008, Fit For An Autopsy has been leaving destruction in their wake as they transcend Deathcore, Hardcore, Death Metal and any other style of aggressive music that people try and pigeon hole bands into.

The Sea Of Tragic Beasts is the band’s fifth studio album and it is clear that there is a lot of frustration being vented on this release and what better way to deal with the shit that life throws at you that to channel it into something aggressive to sing along to and throw down with.

The album opens with the title track and immediately you are transported to a world of destruction as the music just makes your face angry and the head nod before the technicality begins to show through and the mix makes you feel every drumbeat in your chest. This is music that you feel immediately. The different influences of Deathcore remain however they are blended perfectly to make this simply pure aggression.

Don’t expect any let-up with this utter monster as the beats keep on smacking you as the Hardcore influences that the band grew up listening to keep windmilling you and the Tech Death keep you on your toes before the breakdowns just finish you off perfectly. It is music that makes you want to smash some shit.

The six-piece band are on top form as they whisk you through this 10 song soundtrack to the devastation that lasts some 44 minutes, by the end of which you will be exhausted because you will have completely let loose and been taken over by this utter beast.

The Sea Of Tragic Beasts is one of the finest Death Metal albums you will hear in 2019 and this includes all sub-genres of Death Metal. From first pressing play this is an album of different emotions that I felt and experienced with Fit For An Autopsy. It is rare to be able to record such feeling and frustrations to the level where they are felt by the listener, however, they have managed it here, making The Sea Of Tragic Beasts far more than solely an audible experience. I urge any person who listens to this album, you will not regret it.
