Finnish slide guitar wizard Erja Lyytinen returns with her latest offering Another World following on her highly regarded 2017 release Stolen Hearts. Erja is a Blues artists that you just cant fit in any one box, she has a musical voice all her own which is refreshing in today’s musical climate.

Another World see’s Erja once again flex her musical muscles across eight enticing tracks that showcase her musical diversity and flexibility. The album kicks off with ‘Snake In The Grass’ a real foot stomper to get your teeth into which also features the mighty Jennifer Batten as a guest soloist for the two to “Cut Heads’ during the solo, whilst ‘Cherry Overdrive’ is a groove laden number with sultry undertones. The albums self-titled track ‘Another World’ highlights Erja’s melodic quality with a huge sing along chorus and addictive backbone.

‘Wedding Day’ features the legendary Sonny Landreth on this lively number adds a further touch of class to an already tasteful album. Another World takes you on a sonic rollercoaster from Pop, Rock, Blues and beyond with each song pulling the listener in one by one. As an artist and musician Erja likes to challenge herself, forgetting the status quo and pushing the boat out takes nerve and a level of confidence that is often appreciated by her fan-base, this should be no different with Another World, a thoughtful and well composed album that just showcases Erja’s quality throughout which will sit well alongside her catalogue to date.

Another World is available everywhere now via Tuohi Records.
