Enuff Z’Nuff are back with their follow up to `Diamond Boy’. Founding member, Chip Z’Nuff returns with more Power-Pop Rock that has kept loyal fans happy since their debut in 1984. That being said, this release sees a good spread of musical variety, partly aided by a liberal sprinkling of guest musicians including original vocalist/Guitarist Donnie Vie, Ace Frehley, Mike Portnoy, and Cheap Trick’s Daxx Nielsen.

After a brief instrumental intro in the form of `The Gospel’, the chugging `Fatal Distraction’ kicks in with Steve Ramones Guitar and sing-along choruses. `I Got My Money Where My Mouth Is’ has a harder edge and is lyrically brilliant in typical Enuff Z’Nuff fashion and is one of the albums high points.

`Help I’m In Hell’ as its title suggests is a darker affair with a husky vocal delivery by Chip. The first few chords of `It’s All In Vain’ are identical to Kiss’ `God Gave Rock ‘n’ Roll to You’, but the song itself is slow and meandering, full of echoed vocals and dreamy guitar parts, dare I say Lennonesque? The quirky `Strangers In My Head’ is a heavy rocker which means business. Raucous guitars and a pounding beat presenting a worthy wall of sound.

`Drugland Weekend’ takes the party via jungle atmospherics to a track that’s filled with Wah infused guitars and great hooks. Just like all good parties, it ends too soon! `Broken Love’ is a melting pot of many styles. Imagine bringing the Beatles, Oasis, 10CC, and ELO together and that’s what you have here pure musical chemistry.

`Go’ has a modern feel to it with harmonies aplenty and vocal processing all with a thick rock backdrop. This will be sure to get the crowd bouncing in a live setting. The album finishes with a track that’s oozing with attitude. `Winding Road’ makes its groovy journey along, punctuated by more lyrical wizardry and guitar solos. Call it Funk, Blues, Pop Rock, whatever it is, there’s something truly infectious about it.

Enuff Z’Nuff has pulled together a wondrous tapestry of sounds to make a thoroughly entertaining and captivating album that should bring with it wide audience appeal.
