Empress – Australian Post-Metal Group Reveal New Song “Where No light Can Remain”
Australian post-metal group Empress have just revealed another track off their forthcoming second album “Wait ‘til Night”, which is set for release on November 20th via Brilliant Emperor Records.
Titled “Where No Light Can Remain”, this new track is now playing at Everything Is Noise, who commented “Where No Light Can Remain” upholds Empress‘s great tradition of blending indie, shoegaze, post-rock, and metal in a unique fashion. The song is a deep and haunting ballad which is positively dripping with atmosphere. The soft pianos, layered over stormy ambience, and brought to life with encapsulating vocals, brew up the perfect listening experience for someone seeking contemplative yet emotionally complex music.”
If you missed it check out the video for “Golden Orb” at this location. and the video for “Void Shaped Void” here.
Recorded by Liam Kriz at Ravager Sound and mixed by M. Deslandes, “Wait ‘til Night” sees Empress once again blurring the lines of such diverse musical genres as shoegaze, post-rock and metal to craft a singular and emotional sound that defies easy categorization. More refined and mature than before, Empress is a clash of emotional and musical contradictions, soft and harsh, calm and hysterical. Pre-orders are now available at this location.
