Shining in The Half Light’ Brings Elles Bailey into the Limelight Review After Review Heralds the Blues and Roots Sensation’s New Album as an Achievement that should Lift Her to mainstream recognition.
Overnight success takes longer than most people think, and like an iceberg you’ll find there’s a lot beneath the surface. Now releasing her critically acclaimed third album ‘Shining in The Half Light’, multi-award-winning Elles Bailey is on the verge of such ‘overnight success’: a prospect that many critics and reviewers have remarked upon, and some predicted from the very first.
Reviewer after reviewer has been wowed by ‘Shining in The Half Light’ and it’s become a prophetic refrain that this exceptionally strong album is an achievement that will lift Elles to the next level, above and beyond the achievements and acclaim that she’s already earned as a leading Blues and Roots performer to mainstream success and set her well on the way to becoming a household name.
‘Riding Out the Storm’ vividly shows just how Elles Bailey has come to transcend genre borders and pigeonholing. She first earned acclaim in UK Blues and further afield when she hit the scene running with her Nashville-recorded debut hit album ‘Wildfire’. Strong original material; a nuanced super-smoky voice; not to mention an extraordinary commitment to live performance and touring (which inspired the title of her second award winning album ‘Road I Call Home’).
Elles Bailey has built her rep within the Blues, Rock, Americana, and roots genres, where she has earned recognition in each and all, year after year; not to mention award after award as the leading UK artist in her field. She is currently nominated as Artist of the Year in The UK Americana Awards 2022 and has previously won Artist of the Year at The UK Blues Awards 2020/2021, ‘Little Piece of Heaven’ was awarded Song of the Year at The UK Americana Awards 2020 and ‘Road I Call Home’ Album of the Year at The UK Blues Awards 2020.
With the release of ‘Shining in The Half Light’, many reviewers aren’t just talking about the excellence of the album and its tracks: they’re seeing it as the solid step that will lift Elles Bailey above and beyond her success and put well on her way to mainstream recognition and stardom.
“Career Defining Masterclass” say Lyric Magazine.
As FateaMagazine put it in their glowing review of ‘Shining in the Half Light’, “This is an album that will stand the test of time, that has been brilliantly constructed, produced and delivered and will, hopefully, make Elles Bailey a household name.”
Sonic Abuse agree “if there is any justice at all in this world, it will propel Elles to the next level in an already impressive career.” Rocking Magpie also see this ‘Shining in The Half Light’ as a step to stardom: “Who knows; but after putting in all that hard graft over the last 15 years or so this may be the album to make Elles an ‘overnight sensation!”
“Elles Bailey dazzles on Shining In The Half Light…” proclaimed Ramzine, “
Rushonrock concluded that “this will surely be the year when the brilliant Bristolian blasts into the mainstream and makes the rock world sit up and take notice”
Single releases ‘The Game’, ‘Cheats and Liars’, ‘Sunshine City’ and ‘Riding Out the Storm’ have premiered on Radio 2, with each becoming the most played track on Planet Rock for several weeks afterwards, plus getting prominent play on Blues, Roots and Americana Spotify playlists. 2022 looks to be the brightest year yet for Elles Bailey, building on the solid foundation of her best-selling, award-winning albums and her passionate commitment to live music and touring by adding this stunning new music to her arsenal.
