If you are looking for something short and sweet then you’ve come to the wrong place; short yes, sweet most definitely not, but that’s the way it should be.
Dead Label is about to drop one of the best EP’s you will get your hands on this year. Six tracks of pure metal heaven to whet the appetite for what will hopefully be a monster full-length album, four of the tracks have been released previously and two that had never seen the light of day. The first of the unreleased tracks, Deadweight, kicks things off in blistering fashion, pounding drums, soaring vocals, big riffs, thumping bass and speed that matches the sheer power of the track, face-melting is an understatement. “Pure Chaos” is a heavier track, killer bass and drums kick this to another level, with a funky beat and cutting riffs this will have you dreaming of mosh pits, a beast of a track. “Triggered” increases the tempo with the guitars taking it up a notch, thundering drums and a thumping bass with a cool solo thrown in. “Flux” is the other unreleased track and it has a groove like you won’t believe mainly due to the stonking bass that will have you banging your head in time; backed up nicely with heavy drums and chugging riffs, a savage track. “False Messiah” is a slower-paced animal in the mould of Parkway Drive a brutally heavy track that is in your face; with a melodic chorus that slays big time, a brilliant solo tops the whole thing off nicely. “Dystopian Complex” closes out the ep much like it started, kicking and screaming with their trademark heavy groove-laden beats to tide you over until a full-length album comes to fruition.
“Anthology” is released on Friday, 9th April.
