Murnau’s 1922 classic Nosferatu in the music video for their soul-stirring new single “Carrion Cry” lifted off of their debut album AGES which is due out on February 24th via Broken Stage Records. “‘Carrion Cry’ is about not allowing yourself to be overtaken by the darkness that lives within all of us, but rather finding new beginnings in the pieces of us that feel like they’re dying,” explains vocalist and guitarist Shelby Maxwell. “Carrion is the decaying flesh of a dead animal but we sing it as carry on cry. To carry on and choose to fight to see another day while accepting the parts of yourself that you feel have died. A play on words.”
AGES explores universal themes of life, love, and death through dark Americana, stylish post-punk motifs and disarmingly frank lyricism. The album was recorded over a span of five days at Sonic Ranch – the world’s largest residential recording studio complex.
