Cursed Earth return with a brutal collection of songs in the form of The Deathbed Sessions. After parting from Jazmine Luders, the band enlisted eight of the most vicious vocalists in heavy music to add their blood and sweat to the project and the result is as savage as you can imagine.
The Deathbed Sessions features guest appearances from Larissa Stupar (Venom Prison), Matt Honeycutt (Kublai Khan), Joel Birch (The Amity Affliction), Booka Nile & Sean Harmanis (Make Them Suffer), Nick Adams (Justice For The Damned), Mark Poida (Aversions Crown) and Jack McDonald (Cast Down).
Brutal from the off, this album rips and tears at you with every thrash of the guitar while the drums pummel you from the inside out, each track just grips you by the throat punishing you for taking part. The different vocalists bring their own mark to the mixtape, which adds that extra spice to each individual track. The variation could have been seen as a risk, but with the quality within the recording flows seamlessly, with tracks ranging from 1 minute 23 seconds to over 4 minutes, you get the sense of the intensity within the four walls of this monstrous sounding EP.
Not for the faint-hearted, The Deathbed Sessions make no apology for the brutality on display, nor should they as they stay true to what grabbed the attention of so many with their 2017 album Cycles Of Grief and 2016 EP collection Enslaved by The Insignificant, their latest offering is only a taste of what is to come.
Cursed Earth are back, bigger bolder than ever and here to stay.
