CRIMSON PEAK RELEASE ROOTSY NEW POP-ROCK TRACK ‘LIES’
Helsinki pop-rock band Crimson Peak are back today with their hooky new single Lies, released on Saint In The City Records. The driving new song showcases their slick and poppy melodies alongside rootsy, bluesy guitars and a 70s-influenced, road-trip-ready brand of classic rock.
Lies is a song about letting a fake person know that you can see through them,” explains one of Crimson Peak’s two lead vocalists Lina Sandvik. “The truth will always eventually come out.”
The Finnish six-piece band are a colourful and vibrant combination of their shared influences – big pop choruses nestle amongst driving rock guitars and widescreen, atmospheric indie-folk soundscapes, all driven by alternating vocals from Lina Sandvik and Elias Losinskij-Kovanko.
Their debut single Mountainside was released in 2018 and arrived with a cinematic video filmed in the Norwegian mountains, and since then the band have released four more tracks. Their most recent single, the anthemic rocker Closer, received support from Spotify on their New Music Friday playlist in Europe. The band have toured all over Finland and performed on national TV and radio there. Now they are ready to take their music to a wider international audience and have a debut EP set for release in the Spring.
