Celldweller’s Electronic-Metal Hit “Frozen” Gets An EDM Makeover From Social Kid
Celldweller’s Electronic-Metal Hit “Frozen” Gets An EDM Makeover From Social Kid Out Now Via FiXT Noir
Los Angeles, California –Celldweller’s electronic-metal anthem “Frozen” has been freshly reimagined by one of the midtempo scene’s brightest minds, Social Kid, 18 years after Klayton shook the earth with the iconic original. Social Kid’s take on “Frozen” pulls the song in a much more clubby direction with its simple beat structure and deep, hypnotic midtempo basses, while keeping the spirit of the original song alive with much left completely intact, along with heaps of new grimy, distorted industrial elements.
“I heard Social Kid’s mid-tempo EDM bootleg remix of “Frozen” and liked it so much I asked him if he was interested in getting the stems and turning it into an official remix. Hear his fresh take on “Frozen”, 18 years later, out now on FiXT Noir.”– Klayton (Celldweller)

“My wife was the one that suggested to me I need to do a remix of Frozen, and upon hearing it I knew she was absolutely correct. I really want to bridge the gap between traditional industrial music and EDM industrial/midtempo music, and I feel remixes like this help with that goal. I wanted to keep the spirit of Frozen while still adding a compelling EDM drop section that would sound exciting and fun at clubs, so everybody can enjoy it. I feel Klayton’s vocals really make this remix, as his performance is stellar in his original song, it actually made it very easy for me to remix. I’m happy to have been given such an amazing opportunity to officially release this, as originally this was a bootleg remix I was doing for fun.” – Social Kid
