31st May 2019
Long Island tech metal heavyweights Car Bomb make their anticipated return today with their behemoth new single Dissect Yourself. The track showcases blistering musicianship, with stabbing guitar licks meeting ear-shattering drums in an unhinged fashion. It’s the first track taken from the band’s next album, which was mixed by Periphery’s Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood and recorded Silvercord Studios, the home base of Gojira’s Joe and Mario Duplantier in Brooklyn, NY.
This time we really paid attention to song structure, and wanted to make this song lean and mean.  There are some elements in our older material that to us now seems a little too over-indulgent now.  With this, we really tried to make it compact and impactful

One of the most impressive things about Car Bomb, is that their colossal achievements – tours alongside metal heavyweights Gojira, Meshuggah, The Dillinger Escape Plan, alongside three album releases, an endless list of festivals including Euroblast – have all stemmed from hard graft. Self-releasing, creating their own lighting rigs for shows and their own art and music videos, Car Bomb are essentially one of the biggest hidden secrets of metal 2019. Their forthcoming album plans to change that.
We did this whole record on our own this time around, but we had the pleasure of recording at Silvercord studios (Gojira’s HQ). We learned a lot and had a blast dicking around in the studio
– Greg Kubacki
Car Bomb have spent much of 2019 putting the final touches to the record. However they are now raring to get back on the road, with their next port of call being a lengthy UK & European tour supporting Animals As Leaders. The band are also set to play at a handful of festivals this summer, including Arctangent and Brutal Assault. Full live dates are at the bottom of this press release.
Car Bomb have grown fiercer and bolder with their technical prowess, and they’re set to make one hell of a noise this year. Watch this space for further news.
