Bradford Band – Stand Alone – Drop New Single – “Watch you Burn”

It’s always exciting when you find a new band to fall in love with. It’s even more exciting if you find them as they’re starting a new leg of their journey. There’s a local Bradford band who have caught my attention and it’s safe to say I’m excited!

Stand Alone are well on their journey and are making a name for themselves supporting the new waves of bands who are already coming up on the scene such as Press to Meco, Tomorrow is Lost and Farhan. With heavy riffs and infectious melodies it’s easy to understand why there is a wave of interest surrounding them. So far the band boasts two independent EPs and are getting ready to release a new wave of music with a full length album. Spending the past 5 years or so writing and touring, it’s clear they have not lost that thirst to continue pushing themselves to make music. With a new bassist, it’s clear Chapter 2 is ready to play out.

The new single “Watch you Burn” has this heavy melodic riff that gives you a perfect sense of what kind of band Stand Alone are before easing into the lyrical melody. They have a great sense of what creates a great melody from start to finish but are able to add a harder edge with the darker riffs and bass. The video release of the single, helps fulfil this darker side and gives you an overall better understanding of the track. As a single it leaves you wondering what the band are capable of once the full album comes out. As self described as Prog Pop Rock, it’s sure to be exciting and interesting to see what direction they turn to next.

Overall, Stand Alone are ones to watch as they begin to prepare the world for the second chapter of their journey and a brand new record alongside it. If you’ve not heard of them yet, be sure to check them out!
