Australia’s Psych Rockers TURTLE SKULL premiere brand new single from upcoming album!

“Monoliths” to be released August 28th on Art As Catharsis and Kozmik Artifactz

August 28th 2020 will see Australia’s Psych Rockers TURTLE SKULL release their highly anticipated sophomore full-length album, “MONOLITHS”, via Art As Catharsis and Kozmik Artifactz. Following their critically acclaimed 2018 self-titled album, the five piece continues to evolve their very own blend of Psych and Alternative Rock in a sprawling soundscape, forging the reputation around their signature ‘flower doom’ sound.

Today the band from Sydney is premiering “Apple of Your Eye”, the third single off the upcoming album, that is comparatively calmer than the rest of the record. The dreamy vocal harmonies and sulky guitar wistfully echo from a time where shoegaze dominated alternative music scenes. Yet in the here and now, one can’t help but witness the song in its glory: an accentuation of the diversity that “MONOLITHS” offers, flickering within the final unfolding moments of the record itself.

Listen to “Apple of Your Eye, the brand new single by TURTLE SKULL, streaming now on SPOTIFY or the band’s Bandcamp, at THIS LOCATION

Says the band about the song: “Apple of Your Eye is actually a song about the relationship between parent to child and child to parent,” begins drummer / vocalist Charlie Gradon. “I wrote the lyrics when I found out I was going to be a father. The first verse is from the perspective of the child speaking to their caregiver and the second verse is the reverse and what the child has learnt since becoming a parent himself.
