“Contender” showcases the band’s commanding hard rock combination, nodding to the likes of Seether and Breaking Benjamin, with a powerful instrumental unit rallying behind the formidable lead vocal of Michael Boyd.

The band spoke exclusively to HM Magazine, to discuss the new track.

Formed in Austin, TX during the rigors of the COVID-19 lockdown, HopeFool arrange a broad range of styles to deliver potent and well-executed hard-rock, rooted in grunge and alternative metal.

With a diverse array of both influences and backgrounds, Hopefool’s tracks range from the uplifting “Collapse”, the deep, cathartic emotion of “The New Age” to epic and emotional “Forever”. One unbridled constant, however is the Texas quartet’s thoughtful lyricism and explosive instrumentation.

With “Contender”, the newcomers continue to push the envelope, transitioning between potent hard rock and rangy alternative metal.
