BREATH ATLANTIS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM OVERDRIVE OUT MARCH 18

German metalcore whiz kids BREATHE ATLANTIS have announced their new album Overdrive, out March 18 via Arising Empire. Pre-order the record, which comes in limited colored vinyl and via bundles, here.

Overdrive serves as a true arrival for Breathe Atlantis.

Watch the recently released “Changes” video, featuring Eskimo Callboy’s Nico Sallachhere.

Overdrive has become a turning point for us, which we all needed,” explains singer Nico Schiesewitz. “On the record, we process our past, in which we were often frustrated and depressed due to external circumstances and we felt limited and constricted by expectations or external ideas. On this album, we just did what we felt like doing and wrote and shouted everything from the soul. This is our most honest and emotional album we’ve written so far and I think it will speak to a lot of people.”

The album was produced by Andy Posdziech (Any Given Day).

The band continues, “Musically, we just went the way that felt best for us. There were only two choices left: Start over or admit the end of that path. We are here to express our feelings through music and deliver the most honest and meaningful art. It just felt right for us to aim for a darker and heavier sound than ever before. This ongoing pandemic was, of course, fuel to the fire.”

Breathe Atlantis released Soulmade in 2019. They have played countless shows with the likes of Sum 41, Memphis May Fire, Attila, Bury Tomorrow, Crossfaith, and beyond. Over time, the band has developed its catchy songs that encourage sing-alongs, Lang with brutal mosh parts and that don’t sugarcoat anything.

THE OKLAHOMA KID ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM TANGERINE TRAGIC OUT JUNE 3

BAND SHARES “MELT INTO YOU” VIDEO — WATCH

THE OKLAHOMA KID — a modern metal experience — have announced their sophomore album Tangerine Tragic, which arrives via Arising Empire on June 3. Pre-order it here.

While first single “Pale Tongue” took listeners and viewers on a disturbing trip with psychedelic visuals and heavy rhythms, which were deeply influenced by early millennial industrial music and Neue Deutsche Härte, their second single “Melt Into You” is a cleaner look. It’s more melodic yet still bursting with heaviness. For the music video, the band again teamed up with Pavel Trebukhin, known for his work for Imminence, Landmvrks, Annisokay, and many more.

Watch “Melt Into You” here.

Tangerine Tragic was recorded and produced by Jan Kerscher (Ghost City Recordings), and mixed and mastered by Lance Prenc (Alpha Wolf, Polaris, Dealer).

“We are always trying to get different influences into our music,” says guitarist Andreas Reinhard. “That’s why we were looking for a producer outside our genre, to get some new input. When we first met up with Jan, we knew he was a perfect match to record and produce our next album.”

TANGERINE TRAGIC TRACK LISTING:
“To Dance With Fire”
Pale Tongue
“A Velvet Feel”
“The Way Things Were”
“Replaced”
“Come Undone”
“Waldsterben”
“Dye Black To Pink”
Melt Into You
“Lost Purpose”
“Ohnmacht”

The Oklahoma Kid focus on technical intricacy and energizing rhythms. Since its formation in 2012, the band has consistently pushed the envelope and has established a foundation in the German metal scene.

The Oklahoma Kid have toured with internationally renowned acts such as Stick to Your Guns, Carnifex, Evergreen Terrace, and Hatebreed. They have electrified crowds with their passionate performances.

The Oklahoma Kid’s debut album, 2019’s Solarray, didn’t adhere to genre formulas. It also displayed the band’s full sonic scope and capabilities. The song featured everything from huge, wall-of-sound arrangements to fragile melodies. The very essence of the band’s vision is not only encapsulated in sound but also in the delicate lyrics. Bleak existentialism, social commentary, and a reflection of the self were the core themes that were explored on Solarray.

OUR MIRAGE DROP “CALLING YOU” VIDEO — WATCH

“The post-hardcore, clearly inspired by The Amity Affliction, is composed confidently, professionally produced, and performed in an appealing manner” — METAL HAMMER

Post-hardcore outfit OUR MIRAGE just revealed the video for the new single “Calling You.”

While it feels as though the band’s latest album Unseen Relations was only just released, the four musicians dropped another single from their upcoming third album.

The track boasts a new tuning and features even more crushingly heavy vocals.

“Calling You” is another emotional and hard-hitting track that follows the previously released singles “Remedy and “Through the Night.”

Hailing out of Marl, Germany, Our Mirage really hit deep and strike a nerve. The group’s music largely focuses on the problems that our youth deal with internally but it doesn’t just speak to them. It’s also very intuitive of the problems and struggles that we all deal with commonly.
