Following the two singles of ‘Alien’ and ‘Silver Linings’, the moment has come for ANIIMALIA’s debut EP to be released to the world.
After winning Kerrang! Radio’s ‘The Deal’ competition, wowing crowds on the Avalanche Stage of Download Festival 2022 and releasing two fantastic videos shot by Loki Films. Listeners are finally able to hear the full extent of ANIIMALIA’s talent on their debut EP ‘Pressure Points’. The EP, produced, mixed and mastered by Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon / Nova Twins / Funeral For A Friend) showcases Kira Beckett’s falsetto and the band’s anchored grooves putting them leagues ahead of the competition.
ANIIMALIA had the following to say regarding the EP’s release: “It’s been fantastic working with Marshall Records over this entire process. The experience overall has just been out of this world and getting to record with a producer like Romesh was just nuts! This EP is a product of all of the hard work, blood sweat and tears that we’ve put into ANIIMALIA.
The band continues:We all can’t wait for everyone to hear it and play these new songs live. We’ll be hitting up the UK for a four show run in September and we’re raring to go. We hope you enjoy ‘Pressure Points’ just as much as we did putting it all together!”
“Not since Spiritbox gave us ‘Holy Roller’ has a band arrived out of nowhere as fully formed as ANIIMALIA do on Pressure Points” say Distorted Sound. Emerging Rock Band’s awarded the EP ‘Most Impressive Release of This Issue’ with a score of 10/10 and Rock Sound described them as “Uninterested in following convention, ANIIMALIA are a band dead set on reinvention.”
With these accolades ANIIMALIA have staked their claim to be one of the most exciting acts in Rock, Metal and Alternative music.
To celebrate the release of the EP the band will be heading out on a run of UK dates in September:
16th September – Swindon, The Vic
17th September – Plymouth, The Junction (with support from Okay, Bye)
18th September – Bristol, Crofters Rights (with support from Last One Home and Seneca)
19th September – London, New Cross Inn (with support from Prey Drive and The Maisonettes)
Having formed in 2020 the band used the stasis of the pandemic to begin their journey to launch their career as an act that world will need to take note of. The band’s influences span from Marmozets and YONAKA to Royal Blood and Beartooth and the EP is a five track look into the world of ANIIMALIA that is sure to ruffle more than a few feathers.
