HEADLINES A LONDON SHOW AT NOTTING HILL ARTS CLUB NEXT TUESDAY
Ada Morghe’s recent album ‘Lost’ weaved together a tapestry of elegant expressive vocal class, an ambitious, life-affirming concept, and the highly accomplished musicianship to bring it all to life. Now the multifaceted creative talent – also an actress, author and director – introduces a fresh spin on the album by sharing 4hero’s new remix of the title track. ListenHERE.
4hero take the original song’s energising percussion as a starting point, heightening its vibrant propulsion by pushing it into the realm of nu-jazz and breakbeats. It’s an approach which liberates the warmth of the song’s live instrumentation, while also ensuring that Ada’s luscious vocal feels completely at home.
Ada says, “Hearing that 4Hero would love to remix “Lost” was a great honor. I’ve always been a huge fan of their work”.
4hero’s Marc Mac adds, “I love how Ada and her band take on an adventurous blend of styles. They touched on Jazzy DnB with “Lost” which made the remix a natural thing for me to get into!”
The remix comes as Ada Morghe prepares to play further live shows in support of ‘Lost’, calling at London’s Notting Hill Arts Club (June 6th) and Berlin’s Jazz Club A-Trane (June 11th). Tickets are available HERE.
Consisting of Marc Mac and Dego, 4hero have been a pivotal influence upon the world of electronica, with DJ Magazineretrospectively hailing their classic 1998 Mercury Prize-nominated album ‘Two Pages’ as a “a blueprint for the divine future possibilities of drum & bass music.” Their pioneering touch informed almost everything they did, from the similarly acclaimed ‘Parallel Universe’ album, to working with Goldie, and delivering classic remixes for artists including Nuyorican Soul,Metalheadz, Ultra Naté and Terry Callier.
