Seaway’s latest album has graced our eyes as of the 15th September. Vacation is the third full-length album the band has released since forming in 2011, and is the follow up to 2015’s Colour Blind. Vacation is full of high energy and infectious hooks that we have known to come from this band, who are the perfect definition of Pop-Punk.

Vacation is full to brim with tracks that are fun and with energy to spare. The first single ‘Apartment’ is also the first track on the album. This sets the tone for the rest of the album and has a liking to that of the sound of New Found Glory. It even links into the name of the album with the line “In your apartment, on vacation forever.” It’s a fast-beat happy song that you’ll find stuck in your head!

‘Something Wonderful’ is another fast track full of energy. With a catchy hook and great guitar riffs, this track is definitely a highlight off of the album and the lyrics are genius. Check the line “We are weird and painful, just like Ross and Rachel,” and “We are weird and messy, just like Zack and Kelly.” These great references to the ’90s give this track a real nostalgic feel and makes it perfect for any summer playlist (especially if you’re already mourning the summer season).

‘Scatter My Ashes Along the Coast Or Don’t’ has guest vocals from Caleb Shomo of Beartooth and is another epic track off the album. With more “vacation” themes, the track is high energy that embodies that of Pop-Punk and will definitely get you moving along.

The album includes many highlights such as ‘Curse Me Out,’ ‘Lula on the Beach’ and ‘London.’ It’s a great, feel-good album that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and have you jumping around the room.
