Rumahoy - 'The Triumph Of Piracy' - Album Review
8Overall Score
Reader Rating: (2 Votes)

Rumahoy are the latest pirates to storm our seas with their debut album The Triumph Of Piracy. Captain Yarrface and his crew of rowdy pirates (all of whom have the most piratey of Pirate names) have created an album which takes you aboard the Rumahoy ship to live the life of a pirate.

The album is full of great tracks with even greater titles “Netflix and Yarr” being the perfect example of this. The band takes pirate metal on a new journey which can only be compared to the likes of Alestorm which is fitting as they are currently touring with them. Tracks such as “Forest Party” will have you raising your tankards high with glee and “yo-ho-ho”. But make no mistake Rumahoy have a very clear Metal edge to their music. With a solo with so much Metal on the title track this band proves they are more than just pirates but experts in their musical fields. There is definitely more to the music than what can be first heard and the layers of this adds an edge to their sound.

If your a fan of Alestorm then you’ll love this new album from Rumahoy. You can catch both bands on the Piratefest Tour.

The Triumph Of Piracy Is Out Now.
