Formed in 1991 and still pushing boundaries, Kataklysm bring their latest offering to the world and show that the music they make is still bloody brilliant.

From the start of the album ‘Guillotine’ introduces the Industrial Death sound and the audible assault begins. The short snappy drum beats matched by punchy guitars and gravelly vocal certainly set the stall out for the rest of the release.

The heavy riffs are matched by an underlying bass groove and beats to rival Fear Factory as Kataklysm repeatedly smash you over the head with a concrete slab of Death Metal that is as good as anything else 2018 has to offer.

‘The Last Breath I’ll Take Is Yours’ is a punishing monster of track that sounds as sinister as the title and certainly takes a darker turn switching speeds throughout.

The 10 tracks spread over 39 minutes fly by as Kataklysm provide a lesson in providing heavy, aggressive music with passion that any band could take a leaf of their book. This is not just another album churned out by a band, this is continuing to provide top level Death Metal and its ace!
