James return with their 15th studio album Living In Extraordinary Times August 3rd. The album which started life during jam sessions at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studios and finished at Iguana Studios in Brixton, sees our heroes return to form after their highly successful 2016 release Girl At The End Of The World debuted at #2 in the UK album chart.
Living In Extraordinary Times is everything and more you would expect from this mancunian band of brothers, it is rich in melodic waves of synth’s and vocals that ebb and flow across the album like as if on a wave of euphoria. With their signature sound James place their individual stamp on each and every track in a way that has endeared them to fans globally for the last three plus decades. It is no mean feat in 2018 that James are releasing a body of work equal to any of their previous recordings, but testament to the quality within that has allowed them to stand the test of time.
The album a fusion of social commentary and personal reflection, covering everything from the current political climate in America in the frustration-charged ‘Hank’ or the powerful ‘Heads’ will make you sit up and listen. Not to be ignored on any level Living In Extraordinary Times takes you on an audible journey across twelve emotive and passionate tracks that hold nothing back.
Living In Extraordinary Times is out August 3rd via Infectious / BMG Records.
