If you close your eyes and find your happy, peaceful place, then take a deep breath in and feel inner peace and then imagine being smashed over the head with a huge slab of concrete and you can start to image how listening this beast feels.

Impending Doom bring their 6th album to the fore and its uncompromising, technical, brutal and fantastic, but grab your hard hat because otherwise the blunt force that it hits you with is going to leave a mark.

From opener ‘The Wretched and Godless’ you hear the hammered guitars, deep and aggressive vocal whilst the imposing drums are being bludgeoned with the sound occasional machine gun fire just to finish you off.

The tracks are well put together, each one well thought out, you don’t just get completely smashed unrelenting, instead it is an orchestrated assault with optimal impact.

If you are a fan of Brutal Death Metal and Technical Death Metal thrown in with a little Grind then this is a must have.
