Defiatory bring their second album to the world with an old school Thrash sound that is heavily influenced by the Bay Area scene.
The band formed in 2015 and released their debut album Extinct in 2016. Now in 2018 they bring us Hades Rising, whichis an 11-track, 48-minute masterclass in Thrash.
The drums are fast paced and very heavy, leading the tempo perfectly for the guitars to try and keep up, and then the rough edged vocal guides us through the madness being created musically. The guitar solos are white hot and the production ensures that everyone is heard.
There are the occasional standard-paced tracks that are very good Metal songs, showing the band aren’t a one trick pony and they can do the different paces to a very high standard.
A very good album from start to finish, which is a lot of fun to listen to and reminds us why there was a Big 4 and that Defiatory could reach those heights. –
